All entries are required to abide by these terms of reference in order to be eligible for the awards. Should the entries fail to comply with these requirements the auditing firm shall be authourised to invalidate entries and/or reserve the right to reassign them to another category which they do comply with.
Invitation / Application:
Spa Operators registered in Thailand with the Ministry of Public Health together with Spa product suppliers, distributors and manufacturers will be invited to apply for the awards via email. At no stage will an invitation be considered a nomination until it has undergone the audit process and is deemed to have fulfilled the criteria as set out below. Applications can be made for more than one category; however a separate application is required for each category.
Acceptance of Applications:
Applications will be received online ONLY via the TSWA website. The committee will review the information at Thai Spa Association office 87/107-108 Modern town Building, 12th Floor, Sukhumvit 63, Klongtun-nua, Wattana Bangkok 10110 by 17.00 15 December 2018 only.
A panel of knowledgeable industry professionals, will independently review all applications for compliance with the criteria, and short-listing a maximum of 10 nominees per category. Subject to the number of applications received the panel reserves the right to increase the number of nominees. The applications will be screened by the panel for compliance with the published awards category criteria, and those that comply will be validated. Only validated applications that meet the stipulated criteria will be considered as Nominations and will become eligible for voting.
In the event that there is fewer than three nominations for any category, that category may not be awarded.
The TSWA Organising Committee will announce the nominations on 5 January 2019 together with voting methods and procedures. All details will be released to the media and posted on the awards website www.thailandspaawards.com within 24 hours of announcement. Nominees shall receive a Certificate of Nomination, while award winners shall receive a Thailand Spa & Well-being Trophy and a Winner’s Certificate.
No application fee or proof of purchase is required to enter. No gifts or donations of any kind (monetary or otherwise) shall be accepted by the Auditors or the Organising Committee. The suggestion, actual or implied, shall automatically result in disqualification of the application, nomination or winner.
Voting will be open from 5 January 2019 till 17.00 25 February 2019. Voting will be on-line only. No other form of voting is accepted. Votes received by the specified time and in the specified format shall be considered valid. Only valid votes will be calculated to confirm the category winners.
The results of voting shall remain confidential and shall be known ONLY to KPMG Phoomchai Audit Ltd, until the seal is broken on the envelopes and the winner is announced on 28 February 2019 at the awards ceremony. No other individual, organisation or company shall have prior knowledge of any of the winners. Written submissions to the Thai Spa Association for additional awards in 2019 or changes in award categories, the application, nomination or the voting criteria or voting process shall be accepted Friday 30th November 2018. The Thai Spa Association in consultation with KPMG Phoomchai Audit Ltd. reserves the right to amend or alter the terms and conditions of the awards. Any amendments or alterations shall be advised in writing to all applicants or nominees and/or posted on the event website. All decisions of the TSWA Organising Committee, the Thai Spa Association and/or KPMG Phoomchai Audit Ltd as related to the Thailand Spa & Well-being Awards are considered final and no communications shall be entered into.
